Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City Centre by IHG

Generally reported as very clean in many reviews, though a few guests noted a bad smell from the shower drain and some stuffiness in certain rooms.

Staff frequently described as friendly, quick at check-in, helpful with room changes and luggage storage; few service complaints beyond booking/price issues.

Consistently praised as very central and convenient — close to transport, train station, restaurants and city attractions.

Mixed reports: several guests found rooms comfortable and quiet, but others reported small rooms, a hard bed, noise from nearby bars at night, and non-opening windows or shower drain odors.

Useful amenities noted (modern lobby, laundry room, parking, ability to store bags); overall seen as convenient and functional.

Mixed to negative sentiment: one guest reported paying significantly more than current advertised price and unsuccessful price-match/refund attempts; some felt rooms/breakfast were small/average for the price.
